On 3 June 2026, Molleau demonstrated its solution at the AMIF trade show, the annual gathering of Île-de-France mayors, on the stand of in'li, a subsidiary of the Action Logement group, alongside Carmen Peyron, Director of Innovation. And a concrete next step is already taking shape: a rollout in a residence in Orsay, just outside Paris, in partnership with Colonies, from July 2026.
From pilot to rollout at scale
The announcement follows a clear trajectory. After a first pilot with Hénéo that demonstrated 23% less consumption per shower, Molleau was selected in December 2025 from close to 20 applications as a winner of in'li LAB cohort 7. The incubation began in January 2026, with a stated ambition from in'li: not to stop at experimentation, but to go through to deployment and scale.
This rollout in Orsay is the first concrete expression of that: a real site, and a device moving from proof of concept to series installation across a portfolio run by property operators.
The Molleaumètre is a smart flow meter that screws onto the shower hose and displays water use in real time. An LED ring changes colour during the shower as consumption rises, encouraging people to use less, battery-free thanks to hydroelectric self-powering, and with no compromise on comfort.

Why student residences and intermediate housing
This residence in Orsay houses young professionals and students: a mobile population, attentive to both their budget and their impact, and highly receptive to clear, immediate information. That is exactly what the Molleaumètre offers: making water use visible in real time, without ever imposing constraints, to help each person manage their daily usage better.
For a student residence manager as for a landlord, there are two objectives: reducing the collective hot water bill and raising residents' awareness of their consumption, without degrading their experience. Making consumption visible in real time turns an everyday act into a source of savings, and deployed at scale, the device saves thousands of litres of water.
